linetype3dplineon does not retain its setting when drawing is reopened

When I use LINETYPE3DPLINEON it works fine until the drawing is closed. However, the setting is not saved between drawing sessions. Is there a cure for this condition? Thank you in advance.

I've never heard of that variable (or is it a command?). Can you explain?

Here is a link to a post on this forum about it. I could not find an answer to my question on the forum or online.

Now that I see what that is, add this to your acaddoc.lsp file:

(vl-load-com)

(vl-cmdf "LINETYPE3DPLINEON")

Every drawing you open will automatically have this value set.

Thanks, just had not used my acaddoc.lisp for this version of C3D-always too busy to update it 🙂

@tcorey  Where do I locate the acaddoc.lsp file?

If you're not already using acaddoc.lsp, find acad2020doc.lsp in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2020\Support\en-us.

Open with your text editor and saveas acaddoc.lsp. Place in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\C3D 2020\enu\Support.

Tim:

I was thinking that the .. 2020doc... worked the same as the acaddoc.lsp.

If you don't have an acaddoc.lsp file. Create it with notepad. I'd leave the acadYEARdoc.lsp alone.
