Licensing across multiple active directory domains

We are combining companies as part of an acquisition.  Our licenses are assigned to license servers in different active directory domains. The networks are combined and we would love to share licenses across, but it looks as though the flexnet software does not understand domains, using server name only.

does anyone know how to share licenses across domains?

Must you combine them to one LM? It's okay to split the license file up between multiple LMs. Are the two networks not connected at all?

We will eventually combine things together, but for now we have 2 active directory forests and domains that are connected via a forest trust.  They are on different IP subnets, connected via VPN connections.  We also have dns conditional forwarders in place for each domain.

The format of the license servers appear to use server name and port number, but they don't have any facility for utilizing a domain name that I am aware of.

We have had the same situation in the past and as long as the client can reach the LM via the VPN, it worked fine. You can also use the IP address in place of the LM hostname.
