Hello

Sorry for shooting from the hip, but do you think Civil3D will run good enough for student purposes (town and regional planning) on this laptop? (Page in Dutch, but scroll for specs.)

https://tweakers.net/reviews/7960/2/lenovo-ideapad-5-15are-ryzen-5-4500u-presteert-uitstekend-hardwa...

It doesn't have a separate graphics card, and unfortunately the Civil3D specifications page only mentions specifications for computers with graphics cards.

Thanks

Samuel

I personally have never used C3D (or Autocad) on any laptop that does not have a discreet graphics card. I think if you were to do any sort of heavy lifting, it probably would not work very well.

In the end, this was the laptop that was bought.  The report is that the programs run visibly slower than on a fast desktop computer, but much faster than on the college's own desktop computers.
