Label Sheets with Easting and Northing Labels in Model Space.

Dear All,

I urgently need help here.

I have a 300km Alignment Route, i am creating sheets for. (See attached Civil 3d File)

I have already placed the sheets in Model Space (about 247 sheets) along the Alignment Route.

I need to have the Individual Sheets Gridded/Labeled with their corresponding Easting and Northing Values to look like the way they are arranged in this attached screen shot. (see attached Jpeg Screen Shot)

I want each of these sheets ( Sheet 1 of 247, Sheet 2 of 247 etc) to be in Model Space and not paper space.

Grateful to bailed out of this.

Thank You all

Hello  Why in the Model Space and not paper space? According to your photo that is done in paper space. But anyway here is the solution, download the free app from the link! You have the sheets as 3d face, but this app only works with closed polylines, you must be created it again as polylines. I hope it is helpful!!! Malha Enhanced | Autodesk Civil 3D | Autodesk App Store

Hi Malha,

Thank You for reaching out.

This is so awesome. Incredible!!

1)Please advise, How do I change the Grid Labelling to read 216500 mE for Eastings and 830000mN for Northing?

The labelling presently shows X=216500 for eastings and Y=830000 for northings.

2) Does it work on Rectangles?

Hi Again,

One more question,

Assuming one is creating the grids in paper space,

Is there anyway of automating the sheet creating process in paper space, taking into account the various rotations?

1)

How do I change the Grid Labelling

2)The Polyline can be of any shape (as long as it's closed)

The way to do it is by creating a frame, but you need an alignment and a template of your frame.

It's a long video but that is it! Then you can explode the frames and convert them to polyline if you want!

Select a frame, right click and the list appears, click in select similar, then you execute the Explode command by typing X and  then press enter, the frames will convert into block reference, if you execute again explode command you will convert into polyline.
