Key-in Command Issues

Civil 3D 2014 isn't reading my commands fast enough.  It's not like I'm some super star typist but when I type "PL" then enter in C3D2012 I'm asked to specify start point but in C3D2014, typing at the same speed and same command, C3D wants to give me a high five Smiley Indifferent or just wants me to PAN.  Another example is the Extend command.  I type "EX" then enter and C3D2014 assumes the Erase command.  Is there a way to fix this?  It's extremely annoying, especially when I'm in a hurry to get a project out of the door.

Thanks in advance.

Turn off Autocomplete. Right click on the command line and expand input settings, then uncheck Autocomplete.

Set AUTOCOMPLETEMODE = 0.  That will completely disable autocomplete.

Andrew / Don - I appreciate your quick responses.  However, my Autocorrect has been disabled.

"AUTOCOMPLETEMODE" comes up as an unknown command.

Not AUTOCORRECT.

It's AUTOCOMPLETE.

I'm sorry, my Autocorrect is active. My Autocomplete is what I have had disabled all along.

FYI, today it seemed to have gotten worse as the day progressed. Maybe because I was focused on it more than usual by watching for replies to this thread. I don't know but it's driving me crazy.

How I fixed mine is to go into the Input Settings (click on the little wrench on the command line) and set my milliseconds to 800.  It's weird because at first I set it to a lower number and it was worse.  I think the default is 300.

Todd - Thank you, sir.  So, far this appears to have been the fix.  Smiley Very Happy
