Issue: Adding properties in polyline subassembly

Is it possible to define properties like SIDE for a polyline subassembly in Autodesk Civil 3D?

Hi @harsh_kajave, when you create a subassembly from a polyline, you must add a point of origin. When you add that subassembly to an assembly, depending on which side of the main assembly you place it, C3D will automatically recognize the side it was placed at.

If you want to have the properties displayed on the panel, you should create a custom subassembly in subassembly composer.

I hope this helps. Best regards!

A subassembly created from a polyline will be exactly like the polyline you created it from and is not parametric at all. As @ecfernandez mentioned, if you want that ability, you'll need to use Subassembly Composer or some other programming language to create it.
