Is there a way to split/ break/ edit bounds a grading after it has been created?

I've got a current grading made with a gutter, a curb face, and a curb top made with grading tools from a single base feature line. I now need to add an accessible ramp to a section of it way after the fact and was wondering if there was a tool like lineworkdivide or break feature line I can do to change or split the bounds of my grading. I realize that I could just redo the grading and add the bounds that way, but I did it over quite a large area with different bounds so would save time to just split rather than redo the whole thing. I tried just doing it on the base feature line but got the attached error message.

For context I also attached the highlighted line I'm trying to split and drawn the bounds I want in red.

Hi @AMountainAQYC8

I assume you've used infill grading between the Feature lines. There is not a way to 'split' infill grading. It simply triangulates between the vertices along the feature lines.

You can add vertices along the feature lines where these breaks are and they will be utilized, so in this case I would add some PI points or elevation points on the feature lines to lower the curb in the area needed.

Let's talk about best use of Civil 3D in this design. I realize it's not your question but would like to guide you in the best way. Using Grading Groups for curb lines is not a great workflow. Particularly because they are hard to see the boundaries are long linear boundaries. It would be better to use a Corridor in this area or simply add your feature lines to a surface.
