Is it possible to recover an unnamed, unsaved drawing?

This is more of a general AutoCAD question, but...

I had started a new drawing on our template and worked on it for an hour or so. I had not saved it or anything so it was simply titled "Drawing2.dwg." Well, during a simple text command AutoCAD decided to crash. It said it could try to recover the drawing, but when I looked around for it I couldn't find it anywhere.

I've had this happen before...is there ANYTHING that can be done or did I just lose all my work? Ugh...

My question would be : "You worked on a drawing for how may hours and never saved it? WTF are you thinking...."

( and then understand why that employee cannot get a payraise ) LMAO!!!!

Very obvious you have never worked on a DOS based computer, with a 40 MB hard drive or with just floppy disk to transfer files.

Control-S takes seconds - at best and saves so many headaches and lots time.

If you get up, turn around or leave your computer = Control-S

if you have a phone call = Control-S

if you start a conservation with a coworker = Control-S

if you have to look something up = Control-S

sounds like overkill - I know. . . . but those of us that remember AutoCadd 8, or 9 or 10 - live by saving awhole lot.  Just ingrained habit.

and is NOT STRESSED enough to the the newer cad operators / designers / EITs.

Try changing the Svs file extension to dwg (Located in temp files)
