Intersection Wizard creating incorrect curb return alignment

Intersection wizard is returning an inexplicable curb return alignment. See attached image.

I've tried it multiple times with various parameters, and with custom assemblies and with the default assemblies, all with the same result. The intersection point is in the correct spot.

Anyone ever see this before and know what is going on?

@jameshitt ,

Hi welcome back to the Civil 3D forums, I see that your question is regarding the placement of the curb return. I just spent some time investigating this in another instance, with little to no replication in a consistent manner.

Do you have a file I can use that this behavior exhibits in? I was able to remedy this in a recent case via changing the target parameters in the intersection corridor after it was created, and for now, when it creates the intersection in that manner, is the only recommendation I can make to you.

If I can find a way to make this happen consistently with a tutorial file using the stock assemblies used in the Intersection Wizard I will be happy to escalate it to the development teams. For now it only seems to happen to drawings with some form of corruption introduced to the alignments used to create the intersection.

I have file and the exact instructions on how it was created.

While giving a class on Intermediate Corridors, we came to the attached PDF exercise. When we use 2018 or 2019 we get a broken intersection as see in the image below. If we use 2015, 2016 or 2017 the intersection result is as expected. My guess is this has something to do with the new connected alignment tool added in 2018. (12 students plus myself got the exact same results, various computers) Intersection ToolGlitch in 2018+.JPG
