Intersection with different radius turnouts

Still green to Civil 3D.  I've been asked to design a drive with turnouts of different radii, and I am wonder what the easiest way to do this would be in my case. 

 

See photo: the east-west drive is existing; the new drive goes north from the existing drive, then turns west.  

 

The goal with using Civil 3D for this is to get accurate  cut and fill quantities.  Am I better off trying to get this to work using assemblies and intersections?  or just creating grading from feature lines?

 

Any resources on this would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Hello JD, I think a great benefit to using assemblies/corridors for earthwork is that you can eventually end up with a top and a datum surface. If you set the assemblies with the right thicknesses for the base, asphalt, etc., you can easily calculate cut/fill volumes discarding the road materials. If you create a surface with feature lines, you will need to manually calculate those quantities and subtract from the volume surface... I guess it all depends how accurate you need to be.

I am not against using assemblies, but I do not currently know how to set turnouts with varying radii.  I assume it is possible.  But I haven't been successful in finding a tutorial or instructions.
