In Civil 3D, what is the best method to import ESIR GIS shapefiles or geodatabases into an existing CAD drawing?
It is possible to export shape files from GIS to CAD, but how within Civil 3D, are shape files imported into a drawing?

Jeff,
I watched you video and got some good info. from it. i am trying to do some of the same things. I was wondering about where you got your road, road names and water, .DGN file from. I went to the TNRIS website but didn't know where to go to get just the city info. like you had for the county.
Thanks

@Anonymous,
I got that DGN files years (many years) ago from the TNRIS website. They have since changed their site and I don't see them anymore. I think they files are a property of TxDoT. You may want to try your local TxDoT office and see if they have any files for you.
Brian,
Welcome to the Forum.
Get thee to the Internet. It's a Data Smorgasbord! Here's a couple:

http://data.geocomm.com/dem/demdownload.html
Your best data will come from Gov Agencies. Do a search for "[County, City, State] GIS data download".
