Identifying the reasons for poor performance and what are the solutions?

Hello. I am facing a general issue with Civil 3d software: it becomes very slow after a certain point while working on the same file for a long time especially if the corridors are big and you extract solids from it. In fact, it becomes so slow that sometimes I have no idea if it is going to respond to the command in one minute or in 10 minutes or in 30 minutes or more. It is so slow that even a "regen" command sometimes needs about 5 minutes to complete.

Does anyone else have this problem of poor Civil 3d performance? If so, how do you deal with it?

Some unknowns here. Are you creating the corridor in a production drawing (deliverable sheet) of a working file to create a data reference?

I can try to upload one or more files as examples if you want. I am creating the corridor and the layouts in the same drawing.
