How to set default pipe label style?

I have multiple label styles for pipe networking in civil 3d.

Each time I add label to pipe networking plan view, it will show up the "Standard" style as default and I have to replace with other styles I want.

How to revise the default settings of pipe styles so I could save workloads to replace them. Thx

Please check this link, you can edit the commands in settings of your toolspace then update which style you want.

Another method for labeling pipes will allow you to select the label style you want to use before labeling.  On the Annotate ribbon select the upper part of the Add Labels button and you'll get an Add Labels tools. Select Pipe Network as the feature to label.  You can Pin this tool on place to keep it available to additional labels.

A little more info ...

When you start making a network the first window will ask for a few basic pieces of info, name, alignment, surface, yadda yadda, but nothing about labeling or naming.  After that the Network Layout Tools will open. The left most button will open the network properties where you can specify more info about the network, like labeling to be applied automatically when a pipe or structure is created, and what naming scheme to use for them.  There are separate tabs for Profile and Sections where you can supply the label styles to use in those views as well.

In my templates I've started two networks but only went as far as setting up the network with all the properties I want for that type of network.  I have one for storm drainage and one for sanitary sewer. They each have different layers, labeling, naming and parts lists. All set up and ready to go, just add structures and pipes.

i have saved all of the settings that i can find to default the labels to something other than standard, but new labels still default to standard in all cases other than coming in from annotate, and add labels.  but even there i have to change the label types our custom labels and they arent set to our custom labels by default.

It can be confusing as there are several locations in the settings where default labeling is specified and even though a network can have its default labeling set to one style, a command for labeling can have its own default setting which will override the network's setting.  The command settings only allow for one default style, which is why I chose to load my template drawings with two empty networks such that I could have the networks auto-label themselves using their own default setting.

So, check your command default settings, as Jowenn demonstrated in his post.  Note there are more than onw command for labeling pipes and structures, some for plan, profile and section.  It depends on the command you use for applying the label.

Don't forget to chack the default pipe and structure label defaults

It maybe good to also note that the matchproperties command works on pipe and structure labels which should speed up replacing the labels.

I keep Four empty container folders in my template drawing. Each one has all the necessary settings for the type of network I'm creating. In the image below for the E-U-SAN network all my styles and labels are for P&P of an existing Sanitary Sewer Network pipes and structures.

Same goes for a Proposed SAN, Existing and Proposed Storm networks as well. When I am ready to build a network I simply right > Click on the name and edit the network. The Network Layout Tools box opens and is ready to go.
