Are you looking for pixels per foot?

When I download images, I usually look for the best resolution or pixel per foot, there the same. so if you have a 1' resolution its 1' per pixel, .5' is a 1/2 foot. You'll also see this expressed in meters depending on location.

Actually, I think the resolution depends on the type of sources from which the photo was taken.

Hi Giorgi,
When you say "satellite/orthophoto picture" do you mean Bing Live Maps? Resolution there depends on zoom scale. Notice when you zoom out you'll sometimes see clouds.
If you mean GeoTiff or JPEG images, then you can find the Pixel Size under the Information Tab of QGIS.

Do you have Raster Design? If so, load Raster Design then the Properties Palette shows the Pixels Per Foot and other information. My screen shot is a SID image.
