How to Project Only the Crossed Portion of a Solid in Civil 3D Cross-Sections?

I am facing an issue in Civil 3D. When I project a solid into a cross-section, the entire solid gets projected into the section. However, I only want the portion of the solid where the sample line crosses to be projected.

Could someone guide me on how to achieve this?

I think you just need to enable Section in the Projection Style under Profile.

Hi @raja.khanCNTNX. Late reply but this is what i do so that not the entire solid is projected to my cross section. 

After selecting "Project Objects to section view", selecting the solid and the section (following the commands of C3D) the following window pops up

Make sure that you uncheck everything in column "Draw Projections". And in column "Crossing Marker Style" select <Section> (i think you will find this at the end of the drop down list). The other columns are not critical for the solid's display. 

With these settings you will have what you want. 

By the way, what @cwitzel5NL5H  says is correct but applicable only when you want to project a solid in your profile. So this setting should be done for the profile projections and does not affect the section views.
