How to delete a User Defined Property Classification

Right-click only offers New... and Refresh. No Delete? What if you make a mistake, do you trash the drawing and start over? I don't see anything in the Help that addresses this. How do you delete or edit a single UDP item? Right-click only offers New..., Line Shading(whatever that is), Copy value to clipboard, and Copy to clipboard.

Did you try clicking on User-Defined Property Classifications, and see if you can delete from the Item View?

Hi Todd,
Thanks. Good idea, but nope.

Well, that's my only input. Pretty sad that there isn't an option to delete something you create. SMH

If the UDP is in use you can't delete it just like you can't delete styles that are in use.

Hi Rick,
Thanks. OK, that makes sense. But how do you "undo" or "un-use" a UDP?

The only way to do that would be to remove the data. I would think at that point it be start back at the beginning and not include the data in the original import.

Yup. Wad up the drawing, throw it in the waste can, and start over. Something to be said for frequent SAVEAS's.

Just now I tried deleting ALL points and point groups from my drawing. Saved the drawing, too. No change in UDP right-click options.
I was not able to delete any of the point label styles that used UDP's.

Yeah, the main thing here is that you probably created the UDP at the Point Import Level, so your data had 1 NE and you added the columns in the point file format for the additional data points. In doing that it's coded it to the DRAWING.

You might try inserting the drawing into a drawing that doesn't have the UDP, that should remove them.

Hey Rick,
INSERT'ing into another drawing definitely removes the UDP Classification. I lost all my points, but linework and images are intact, like an Xref.
