How to create a point group from an another existing one? the new group would be a subset of the other one? It means there would be some points belonging to both groups. Thanks!

I'm not really sure about a subset, you can though, when creating a new group, include points from another existing point group.

There are a lot of settings within the point group creation, that can be combined to narrow the group selection.  Do you have a specific example of these existing groups and how they are currently, and how you would like to specify which subset would be part of the other group?

You can select a group, and then exclude points from it, or even looking to creating a point query that meets specifics to include it in your new group.

Just copy the existing group and edit the include/exclude fields to get the points you want in the group. It can include points that are also in other point groups depending on the includes. The group nearest the top of the list has control for point style and label style over its members, but other wise the groups have full function (rename, renumber, table inclusion, surface inclusion, etc.) over all members.
