HOW TO COPY OBJECTS FROM ONE LAYOUT TO ANOTHER?

I am trying to copy certain objects (such as a Legend and Title Block) from one Layout to another, but Civil 3D won't let me.  In one layout I tried COPY from the Clipboard and COPY WITH BASE POINT, but when I go to the other Layout NO Paste options are selectable.  I have a Title Block with info I want to copy to the other layout, but the title block is smaller because it's a smaller sheet size (form 18x24 to 8 1/2 x 14).  SO I want to be able to copy all the data onto the one layout so I can easily see to retype it all.

Christopher,

You can copy the entire layout by right-clicking the layout tab & selecting Move or Copy... from the flyout, then just remove/adjust as needed. Or, you can try creating a new layout entirely and copying your desired objects to it. Sometimes just creating a new layout resolves copy issues for me.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I'm going to have to COPY the LAYOUT then add and deleted as you said. The
second way is the way I am having problems. I tried creating a new layout.
I was able to copy objects from another DRAWING. But I am NOT able to copy
objects in that same drawing from layout to layout. IS that an ACAD glitch?
I CAN copy between Drawings, but NOT between Layouts of one drawing.

Normally there is no problem.  You should give your version in case there has been something reported.

You might also try running an AUDIT to fix any errors that might be causing the problem.

Perhaps posting a small drawing will yield corrective measures.
