How to convert csv file into shape file using QGIS

Hi,

I have csv file for both manhole as well as the pipes but i converted maholes csv to shape file but i am unable to convert pipe csv file to shape file using QGIS.i have to import that pipe shape file into civil 3D.because  i need that shapefile.plaese  anyone knows help me.

you could import the pipe csv into civil3d as polyine/3dpolyline (will require script or maybe the survey module can draw it. Then create pipe network from it

Hi,
But manhole and pipe csv are in the same csv file.i inserted that csv file into QGIS but in that only manhole was creating but pipe was not creating.
But manhole having one northing and one easting. For the pipe it will be 2 northing and 2easting.how can i insert into civil 3D it will ask for format while importing csv.but i need help for this.

In your <<<Other Thread>>> Drazen created the shapefile linework in Urbano. (I've never used Urbano.) I don't see any easy way to create linework from CSV in any program. (And I've really looked.) The most promising in QGIS is to use the <<<PointConnector Plugin>>>, but I was not able to make it work with your data.

OK, here's one way. You can use a <<<Script>>> to draw 3D Linework in AutoCAD. Then Save as a DXF file. QGIS will import the DXF file and then you can create the Shapefile of Pipe Lines.
