How to add transparency to the colours in a surface object

Hello everybody, I would like to know how to add transparency to the colours in a DEM surface layer in the levels please.

Edit the surface style to place that component on its own layer.   In the layer manager set the transparency for that layer.

Be sure to check the box for plotting transparency when it comes time to print.
