I currently have a station elevation label for Horizontal Geometry Points on a Profile.
I would like to be able to move the text horizontally so that the labels do not overlap when there are two points that are close, then joins a line that jogs over to match the new position as shown below. The dragged state doesn't give me the options I want, and I would rather not draw a polyline every time. I was hoping to be able to create a grip point on the end of one line that I could move, that should get me where I need to go but I am unaware if it is possible. Thoughts?

I would go about it slightly differently rather than dragged state.
When you need to more the label just change the label style. You can also create other varients for 2x and 3x shifts to give yourself some scope
Hope that gives you an avenue to explore
That is not the way I was hoping to skin this cat, but it shall get the job done. Thanks 🙂

Don't need style change at all. In the labels dialog turn on stagger, I would use the both sides setting, and enter the two stagger line height values that get the look you want.
This works quite nicely if there is only one Type of Profile Labels. If I have both Horizontal Geometry Point labels and overlapping Grade break Labels then the stagger does not work. Very nice though.
