HDPE vs SLCPP

For my storm sewers I used SLCPP for the pipe material. I was wondering in what instance would I use HDPE instead and what would be the differences and reasons of using HDPE instead of SLCPP.

Other than costs, why are you using corrugated plastic pipe?

On top of that, cor pipe does not have a very good flow rate compared to smooth line HDPE pipe. You have to use larger pipe size to have the same flow rate of HDPE.

Cor pipe is basically plastic so light weight and easier to cut while HDPE is more thicker and harder to cut.

Any reason why you are not using reinforced concrete pipe?

There are a lot of factors that weigh in on what pipe material to use.  Loading requirements, depth of cover, where the pipe is located, municipal or governmental requirements, accepted design practices, cost, just to list a few.   To be perfectly honest, I have never used HDPE for storm sewer.
