Hardware Acceleration ON, but won't display point cloud

Hi all,

I don't often get the chance to work with point clouds, so this area is somewhat new to me.

I have inserted a point cloud into my drawing, but I am unable to preview it in the object explorer.  It claims hardware acceleration is OFF, but it is on in my settings.  Am I missing something?

I think the object viewer might be a sort of separate sub-application.  Maybe the settings are separate.
