Maybe this: https://help.autodesk.com/view/CIV3D/2025/ENU/?guid=Grading_Optimization

Or a Youtube search.

Yes I started some youtubes. The link is where I started and saw all the reference to GO and started bugging out.

The biggest issue I see now is what I point out. There is nothing on the analyze tab to launch

Looks like it is missing for you.

It should install automatically in 2024 and above. Before that it was an add-on.

It is listed as an Extension in my account for 2026/2025/2024 - thus a separate download and install?

Maybe it is. I was just parroting something from a Youtube video I had seen. from the Civil 3D Help page I linked to above.

Hi @Joe-Bouza

Just want to clarify Grading Optimization does not get installed automatically with a Civil 3D installation. It is a separate extension that needs to be downloaded and installed from Autodesk Account > Civil 3D tile > Extensions tab.

However, @AllenJessup was partly correct in that it is included automatically with a Civil 3D Subscription in 2024/2025/2026 (license included but not installed automatically!)

Hope this helps,

@samir.rezk

If it's a separate install then I'd view this sentence from Help as incorrect.

"Grading Optimization is included with installations of Civil 3D 2024 and later." It's included with Civil 3D but is a separate installation.

Hi @samir.rezk

It's the one from post #2

https://help.autodesk.com/view/CIV3D/2025/ENU/?guid=Grading_Optimization

It's the last sentence in the first paragraph below the image.

Hi Samir, sorry for any confusion in my post. I understand all you say. The point of my OP is I installed the 2022 GO and it only added the GO on the home tab that tells me to go to the analyze tab which it has not been added.

There were no errors during install and only the typical restart warning, which I did restart

GO is a pain to get, install, and use. Autodesk does not make it easy.
