This issues have been going on for several years now and wanted to "wake the sleeping giant" to see if anyone has had any luck in resolving it. I found a similar post here with a more band-aid solution:
Take a look at this Screencast for the explaination:
I agree Jason,
I just had to deal with this exact thing yesterday and have just come to accept that something simple like this is going to be an annoyance for many many years. I think I've subconsciously started to remember the station value of where I was working so I can return to where I was. This shouldn't be necessary.
I wasn't even changing values in the Elevation Editor. I was deleting PVI's in plan view and the list would automatically jump to the bottom.
Good luck finding the right giant to wake to get this one fixed...
So far the only solution I've found is to use the QuickElevationEdit tool in the feature line ribbon. It allows the user to click next to a vertex to edit it's elevation. Click between two vertices and you can adjust the grade. However, this is a band-aid, not a solution.
Looking forward to a solution to this!!
Also, isn't there an annoying, click (wait a sec), then another required click to make the cell active?
Hi @jporter ,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have escalated this to development. At this time, we do not have a workaround other than using the Quick Elevation Editor Tool.
Has a solution to this been found? This has not been resolved in Civil 3d 2021.
