Hi!
I'm wondering how to collaborate with others on the same project.
I've created project in GM (C3D 2025), saved it, but when others open the drawing it says "Project xyz does not exist in the database". I tried to localize where the data base is, got to "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D-GeoTechModeler-2025" but there are no files for my xyz project.
I know I can export but that's not what we want. We want to be able to work on the same GM project. Is it possible?
Best regards,
Pawel

Hi,
If you are looking for the ability to work directly in live form by multiple people using GM, then unfortunately there is no option. The program does not allow you to change the location of the *.db file.
If you want other people to also be able to use the project you created, the easiest way is to share the GeotechnicalModeler.db file with them. In short, copy and paste to the other computers with overwriting the file (unfortunately, it must be exactly the same name of db file).

Jarek
If you want full collaboration then Geotech modeller isn't up to the job and you will need a full featured relational database with a Civil 3D extension like Openground from Bentley/Seequent but this is expensive.
I would also suggest that you need to be cautious when using the surfaces output from the Geotech modeller to ensure that they represent the surface as you expect as in certain circumstances you may find that the subsurfaces are above the existing ground surface due to the way the surfaces are constructed.
The geotech modeller is good at showing the borehole strips and 3D solids which can be shared with others. You can also download DB Browser for SQLite (sqlitebrowser.org) which will allow you to manipulate the database using SQL code
