Geolocation log in?

Joe-Bouza

all of a sudden recently I am no longer logged into geolocation maps. I have always been logged in 2017 and I do not recall changing the 2017 set up. What changed?

it isn't the patch from 2015/16 I did that way back

Did you let your subscription lapse?

No worries Joe. I was a little mystified myself. Are you using 'Stay signed in" with your autodesk account. Being logged in to your account is the only thing I can think of that might affect the aerials from loading. Did you check the status of your subscription?

I lost my ability to use it in ver 2019.  I had to go into options - system -Hidden Messages and there was a box to check for geographic location.  I checked it and voila.  Don't know if 2017 has that.

Might this be the old desktop app / autodesk 360 signing out?

Have a look at what I posted on this thread from last year, always fixes it for me

Hi @Joe-Bouza. I just checked my Geolocation in 2017 and it works fine.

Is the issue that you are logging into the Desktop App and it won't stay logged in?

All the best,
Winston

hello @wpagl452  I do not deal too much with the desk top app but the problem is it will not stay logged in.

As I said before. for multiple years I have permanently been logged in to geolocation  and all of a sudden no more.

Hi @Joe-Bouza, please try the solutions in this article. It's possible a Windows update changed permissions on your login file or maybe your Desktop App needs to be reinstalled.

All the best,
Winston

Thanks eveyone. To be perfectly honest, online maps are convenient, but definitely not worth one tenth of the effort to try and get it back. I hate trash talking the product, after all it has made a very nice life for me but this is really pathetic.

thanks again

They are convenient for sure.  It certainly isn't the most stable part of the program.  Hope it suddenly fixes itself.  Seems Autodesk would have really stepped up on your issue.  Good luck
