Geolocation (aerial Map)

Hello everyone,

I am using Civil 3D 2023, The aerial Map it is showing is minimum 8 years old map, if we compare it with the current google map, I found it's 8 to 9 years old. 

can someone have an idea how to get an updated aerial map?

You'll need to check you state county country for more up to date sources. This will depend on where your located as to what the most current aerial info is.

Hi,

We cannot compare Civil 3D with google maps.

Civil 3D is now related to bing maps.

Check with bing maps.

Sometimes Civil 3D map (bing map) is old but I don't think it is that old as you say. They have updated them.

Thanks for posting. We have no influence on how frequently Bing Map is updated. You can also go to http://bing.com/maps and in the lower left corner you'll see a link called "Feedback." Click this, and a feedback box will pop up.  You will have the option to share with them that the "Imagery is out of date"

I would suggest you use an image/raster data from the following resources as alternative to Bing Map:

• a Web Map Service (WMS) OR
• higher resolution raster from the USGS's Earth Explorer site.
