Geo referenced TIFF image comes in skewed

Good day folks,

Could someone please tell me why my Geo referenced TIFF image comes in all skewed like shown in image #2? When I open this image in Windows Photo Viewer, it looks all fine. 

To insert this into C3D, all I did was, under planning and analysis, image, insert GEO TIFF file. Any feedback to fix this would be much appreciated.

I would first check your drawing settings and verify that everything is on the up and up, everything matches.

Option 2: Post the image/drawing and see if someone here can assist. @Pointdump does this stuff in his sleep.

Side note: Your image looks like a drone flight, so its really import that everybody jives datum wise, there's freeware like QGIS and others to verify all these.

Can you post your GeoTiff? If your image also has a TFW or XML file, please zip everything together.

That's a really large image, 671 MB!
I successfully opened it in Civil 3D 2022, using MAPIINSERT(Pic4), MAPCONNECT(Pic3), and Raster Tools IINSERT(Pic2).
So, 2 suggestions. Turn off Graphic Acceleration or reduce resolution of the image using Raster Design, QGIS, Geoviewer, or IrfanView. Keep in mind that when you re-save the image you'll lose the coordinate system information in the header.

I agree with @Pointdump 

Your uploaded image named Image #1, can be added to a map using either MAPIINSERT command or adding it as raster data throuth the DATA CONNECT PALETTE (an FDO connection). 

<<BTW, the native coordinate system in your tiff, according to the metadata, is NZGD2K.MountEden (EPSG 2105). In addition to NZGS2K,MountEden, I successfully used UTM84-59S (EPSG 32959) and NZTM (EPSG  2193).>>

Once you've created a TINN you can even use Civil3D's DRAPEIMAGE command to drape your image.

I can't figure out how or why you are getting a bad image in your workflow. I tried but cannot replicate the 'skewed' effect you show in your second uploaded image named Image #2,

Hi Dave,
I tried all the three commands and still keep getting the same error (skewed image) even after turning off the graphic acceleration.... bummer.
Are there any instruction on how to use QGIS and not lose to muchresolutions of the image as its supposed to be use as a high-resolution image for marketing purposes along with the drawing?

Which version and update of Civil 3D are you running?

If it's Civil 3D 2022.1.1 ... then try to uninstall the latest update and try it again.

Im running the 2022.1.1 update. Can you please tell me on how to remove that specific update without uninstalling the entire software?

Should be listed in the apps section to uninstall like anything else.

 Before you uninstall anything, can you provide more detail? What are the ‘three’ commands that you have tried?

Can you also upload a screenshot of your Data Connect Palette after you have added your image as a data connection? (The entire palette including the Add to Map button.)

Interesting. Maybe I'm not having any problems with the image because I haven't installed any updates yet in 2022.

Well, by default I strongly recommend to install the updates. However, with the latest C3D 2022.1.1 update I have seen more than just one user with this image issue. That's why I asked to uninstall the latest C3D update.

This worked..... unfortunately I had to uninstall the software completely as I couldn't figure out how to remove just the update. Worked like a charm after that. I used the MAPIINSERT command. Thank you so much for your input.
