Fehmarnbelt Coordinate System

Is there an assignable coordinate system for the Fehmarnbelt Coordinate System? (in the drawing settings)

If not, is it possible for you guys (calling Autodesk people) to add this one? What is the work around so I can use this system and still see the map projection (geolocation)?

Thank you. Need asap.

Here is a projection you can use to visually display an aerial basemap. Your Lat/Longs will be accurate! Your cartesian coordinates (x,y coordinates) may, or may not, be accurate.

  1. Enter MAPCSASSIGN on command line
  2. In search box enter 'DHDN/3'
  3. Select DHDN/3.Gauss3d-4
  4. Click ASSIGN button
  5. Turn on Bing Hybrid (Geolocation Tab=>Online Map Panel=>Map Dropdown Button=>Bing Hybrid)

Jose,
If you have your heart set on FEH2010 / Fehmarnbelt TM, then you'll need to >>>Create that Coordinate System in MAPCSLIBRARY<<<. For everything you need, EPSG details found >>>Here<<<.

Also need this one. I tried this but I could not get it to work. I also tried importing the xml from epsg but it does not work in Civil 3D. Is there any way to get an xml for this so it will be more straightforward?

@ebu6N7Y5 ,

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.
"...also tried importing the xml from epsg but it does not work in Civil 3D."
Nope. Sadly, MAPCSLIBRARY does not have any way to import an XML definition. So you'll need to create >>>Fehmarnbelt Datum 2010<<< or create a Geodetic Transformation to a Datum recognized in MAPCSLIBRARY. And that's a problem, because I can find no "official" Geodetic Transformation parameters anywhere. Fehmarnbelt Datum 2010 is "Defined through coordinates of four permanent GNSS stations."
So it looks like your only option right now is to transform your data in QGIS to a Coordinate System that C3D/Map3D can use.

Thank you for your help, I will try to ask some people in my organization how they go about on this topic.

For our discussion, this is the command I used for importing xml but it says the xml from epsg was invalid.

@ebu6N7Y5 ,
When I said that MAPCSLIBRARY does not have any way to import an XML definition, I meant an XML definition from such as the EPSG site. Of course MAPCSLIBRARY will accept a Map 3D created XML from MAPCSLIBRARYEXPORT Command.
