FeatureLine from objects (I can´t select a surface for elevations)

I am seeing an strange behaviour in  Civil 3D 2017 SP1.1 with the command "create featureLine from an object".

In the dialog box, when you check the checkbox "Assign elevations", then then next dialog box has the Surface combobox dissabled.

I can´t choose a surface to apply its elevations.

Sometimes this combobox is enabled and other times is dissabled, I don´t know the reason about this. Is this a bug?

My drawing file has more than 20 surfaces.

In the ribbon, I am using this same command and it works fine.

Hi,

>> then then next dialog box has the Surface combobox dissabled

Have not had that issue, for drawings with surfaces in them.

That should only happen in drawings which do not contain surfaces.

But as you wrote you had 20 surfaces within the drawing could you look to the type if surfaces? Are there only referenced surfaces or surfaces from volume calculations (sorry to not know the English word for that type of difference-surfaces).

Hi.

They are basically a surface EG and corridor surfaces (Top and Datum). They are not a reference (shortcut) from another drawing.

I don´t have Surface Volumes.
