Feature Line Style Set for Corridors

Is there a way to set up a standard set of feature line styles for the corridor properties - feature line tab so that I don't have to manually set each one and then be concerned that they don't match from corridor to corridor?  Can this be added to the properties pallet so it is easy to switch back and forth?  The tab shows the code set study, but I want the feature lines to have a style set.

What version are you using?

2017 completley broke code set stles for corridors in such that it would ignore what ever style the template said.

2018 has partially fixed it in terms of it works for normal corridors / featureline corridors but not for junctions.

The workaround in 2017 and with 2018 was to set the style after you created the corridor.

In terms of an automatic seperate code set style for featureline corridors (that would work in 2018 but not 2017), I don't think this is possible as it all falls under the one command, under the settings tab > corridors > commands > crete corridor > default styles > code set style, there is no option for a seperate code set style for normal corridors / featureline corridors, just the code set style option for both

Set the feature lines in a code set styles points tab. The assign that code set to the corridor. Different code sets can have different feature lines for the point codes, just swap code sets to change corridor feature lines. A slight issue, if you edit the code sets feature lines, you have to swap code set to any other coder set, then back to the edited code set for the feature line styles to update in the corridor. I think this is to keep code set edits from resetting intentional manual changes to the feature line styles for a particular corridor.

Also be sure to turn off smoothing when extracting Feature Lines!!  If you don't it will make the style irrelevant when it attaches to another feature line (Manual intersections or connection points for example.) Both 2017 and 2018.

I keep meaning to report this as a Defect, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

You can fix after the fact by selecting the feature line and turning it off and everything will work as expected.  This will work with a select similar as well.

I am currently using C3D 2018.  I followed your instructions up to where you discuss changing the code set style.  I want to change the feature line style, but I don't want all feature lines to use the same style.  Like code set styles or alignment label styles, I was hoping to set up a feature line set style that applies to all feature lines in the corridor, but has different individual styles for for individual feature lines.  Right now the only option available is to set all feature lines to the same style.  I am hoping I missed something.

I am trying to follow, but I am not sure what you mean by your first sentence.  "Set the feature lines in a code set styles points tab."  Are you the Corridors Properties, the Prospector, or Toolspace Settings? Please provide a screenshot.

Do you mean you want it so that when you extract featurelines from a corridor that they are different from a normal featureline created from a polyline / from scratch?

If so, under each command in settings you can set what style it is created as. You will need to create the styles first.

In the Code Set Style. This is where you control the appearance of the various components of corridors.

Tools space window (prospector), settings tab. In the tree expand general, multipurpose, code set styles. Find or create the code set for your corridor. Right click and edit. Under the points tree (said paints tab yesterday, sorry), to the right set the feature line style you want for the point.

This helped after I figured out that I first had to import my point codes (button at bottom of screen) from my subassemblies.  By default it just listed "<default> and <no codes>."  After importing my codes, I could then set the feature line type I wanted.  

This is a big help because for years I though the code set was just for the links perpendicular to the center line.

Code sets will also hatch the corridor in plan (under links) as well as in sections views and in your assemblies (under shapes).  You can also label points, links and shapes in sections and assemblies.
