Hi M.S.Abbosh! First of all, have you updated AutoCAD, Map, and C3D to the latest available versions? Then, when exactly does the crash happen? Does it happen when you plot from any drawing or from a specific drawing? Does it happen as soon as you press CTRL+P or does it happen when plotting the drawing?

Hi Petro,

Thank you so much for your reply. Well, this problem occurs on both C3D_16 and C3D_18. When trying to plot using the normal plot command and even when trying to plot from layout manager dialogue box! The system will crash! C3D_16 was updated to the latest version. For C3D_18 I am using C3D_2018.2

I believe this issue occurs because of the DWT files that we are using! they belong to C3D_10 and C3D_13.

Well, you are welcome with any suggestion!

Wishing you a great day

Thank you in advance.

Kindly regards

Salwan

Hello @S.Abbosh ,

  1. Could you please run the _ABOUT command on both C3D 16 and 18 and send me screenshots of the windows that pop up?
  2. Does the crash occur using any printer/PC3?
  3. Have you tried any of the default AutoCAD templates as well?
  4. Have you tried using the RECOVER command on the DWT files?

Hi Pietro,

First of my apology for being late with my respond to your e-mail. The problem with the crash is because of the DWT files. The DWT files were very old they are from 2013!! When opening them in C3D_16 & 18 you can directly feel the irritation of the program while loading them up.

I have removed them and set up new-clean DWT for both C3D.

Now, everything working very well and there is no crash any more.

Regarding to your questions!

1- Check screenshot

2-No. when you try to convert to PDF.

3- Yes, these default DWT's saved and fixed the issue.

4-Recovery is working very well but when it comes to plot to PDF > crash.

I appreciate all what you have done to help me with this case. I want to wish you a blessed Easter and a wonderful time during the holiday.

Thank you so much for everything

Kindly regards

Salwan Abbosh
