FATAL ERROR: Unhandled c0000090h Exception at 47670ch

This issue started arising yesterday for me. AutoCAD errors out when I go to import points and I get this error seen below. Autocad crashes. However when I go back to the drawing and check points > modify drawing > add all points to drawing, they are there. So it's importing the points but killing autocad in the process. Anyone have any idea how to fix this error?

I checked out that thread. I'm bringing in a .txt file not a .xyz also they seem to have problems getting them into the project file at all. Mine get into the project file and are there when i reopen the drawing. I just have to check points and add them to the drawing. It is as if they import the points then something happens and crashes autocad but they remain in the project file. They seem to have a lot of points they are bringing in also. I'm bringing in files that only have 10-15 points in them.

Ok. What does your workstation have for specs? I know that there is a problem that exists with using discrete graphics cards (NVIDIA & AMD) that can cause the program to crash. This could be a possibility too. If that seems plausible then check the drivers for your card and make sure they are up to date. Also make sure that the the graphics card settings are set for high performance.

I do have nvidia but haven't had any issues with it before. Same set up for over a year with zero problems until yesterday.
