Extracting Z value data with polylines

Hello,

I have a drawing showing a bunch of polylines indicating as contours.  After doing a list command of one of those polylines, it indicates that it has x, y, and z values (z as an elevation).  Is there a way to convert the xyz values into points on the drawing or a quick way to export the x, y, and z values from the polylines into a .txt or .xyz file?

what is your final goal? If it is to create a tin, you could simply add the plines with Z values as contour data for surface definition.

Hello,

I have create a screencast video for you for the workflow. You will simply need to open the point creation tools and choose polyline vertices automatic, just note that in order to automate this a little you will need to configure the point creation defaults to best suit your needs.
