Exporting 3D polyline with property set data to SHP file

Anonymous

Hello,

I am trying to export 3D polylines representing pressure network routing and elevations with property set data for additional information ( Diameter, Slope,...) to a SHP file.

I tried (" EXPORTTOSDF" and  "EXPORTPROPERTYDATA" ) workflows but nothing worked for me.

I am using C3D 2020, Windows 10.

Hi @neilyj666

The way I wrote the graph is that it'll create the Map Object Data Table with the same name as the Property Set Definition name; but Map Object Data table names can't have Spaces! rename your Electrical Arrays Property Set Definition to remove the Space then run the Dynamo Graph again!

You just uncovered a possible imporvment to the graph for error trapping 🙂 thanks!

Hi @neilyj666

Don't worry about the Dynamo error, that is a common! it has to do with the coordinates being too large inside Dyanmo for graphics representation, the Civil canvas is much larger than Dyanmo canvas for geometry, but it can work with the data wherever it is!

@samir_rezk I see the drawing you sent has the OD correctly attached but I must be doing something fundamentally stupid as I'm getting "null Objects copied" - any thoughts on this one?

@samir_rezk I installed Civil Toolkit v1.1.16 as this is what the script asked for and the OD was created as in your drawing. The toolkit is at v1.1.19 so is the Dynamo script dependent on the toolkit version?

I uninstalled the Civil Toolkit, restarted Civil and installed v1.1.19 and now have got the object data....😁 😁...!!!

Thanks for the script - Dynamo is on the list of things to explore in more detail but I need to find the time and inspiration....!!!!
