Export surface to 3Ds Max at 0,0,0 coordinates

Hi all,

A designer has requested that I issue a proposed surface for him in to use in 3ds max.  He has requested that the surface be at 0,0,0 coordinates as this apparently works better.

Is there an easy workflow for collaborating between real coordinates and non coordinates?  I tried to look this up but most of the tutorials are pushing me to BIM360 (which we don't have).  I do have AEC license.

Hi @m_kingdon

The surface can be shifted to 0,0,0 in 3ds Max as far as I recognize.  Please see:

Tips & Tricks Autodesk 3ds Max Design: Civil View; Retrieving the Global Shift information

Or you can simply select surface in Civil 3D and move it with a base point to 0,0,0.

Thanks,
Wojtek
