Export CoGo points to ACAD with z value

Hello!

I have a Civil 3D file with CoGo points and I need to extract the XYZ values into a points file for import into Revit.
I have tried convert CoGo to block, MAPExport and a few other scenarios and while I can get a decent looking XY topo into Revit using this data, the Z value is missing, which is critical and I do NOT want to go point by point to add that info.  I'm not very familiar with Civil 3D so I don't really have any idea where to start after trying the forums and the AKN...  I see the CoGo point has a z value, or elevation value, but why won't that export when I convert them to points/blocks? and why can't I DATAEXTRATION the CoGo point values just like regular points?

I would use the EXPORTTOSDF. Then use MAPIMPORT to import them back into Civil. You should be able to work with them from there.

That does get a nice clean file of points, but none of the points has a z value! Why is that? Is there any way to get a Z value?

Accepted solution

Use the AeccExportPoints command, select the ENZ (comma delimited) file format. Revit can import this as a Toposurface.

Thank you! this did extract the Z values and the import shows up right where it should in Revit, which is not where every other attempt showed up!!
