Why after 2+ years of running this software has this crept into my installation?

And the fix (less the clean uninstall install) doesn't work

So now I have 2014 & 2015 installed and neither work. Beautiful... Just ...Beautiful. I'd have to have my head examined to install 2016

Not for nothing but I have better things to do with my life then do clean uninstalls. Why doesn't the "Autodesk Unistall" tool do it all? Thats Rhetorical

Hi Joe,

This is a Microsoft file and error caused by the script file file. I have seen wide variety of different solution starting from registering the OCX fiel to clean reinstall of Operating System and there is hard to tell which ones worked. This is a typical list of suggestions we offer to users who have encountered this issue:

Good news.  We have been working on this MSscript.ocx issue.
We recently discovered the cause and developed a solution.   Would you please have a look at folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared, and verify the existence of the following files.
Aec32BitAppServer.dll
Aec32BitAppServer57.exe
Aec32BitAppServer57.tlb

I hope some of it helps.

Hi, I'm dealing with the same issue while trying to create a pipe network.

I have gone through all of the steps of first repairing my Civil 3D 2013 install, then I went through the steps of editing/updating my sytem registry as it relates to correcting the "msscript.ocx" file. The only thing I've come up short on is that I do appear to be missing the

Aec32BitAppServer.dll file in my C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared folder - wondering if you can recommend a safe/reputable source to aquire that file from? (every source I seem to come across wants me to download their "DLL Error Scan Tool". My concern is that I will end up with some kind of malware being installed while just trying to fix an issue in Civil 3D.

Can you please recommend a safe/trusted source to aquire the Aec32BitAppServer.dll file?
