Elevation Banding (3D) missing from Surface Styles

I am new to Civil 3D, and I am trying to do a 3D surface analysis. I created a TIN surface, and the Surface Styles drop down includes Elevation Banding (2D), several contour layers, triangle layers, but no Elevation Banding (3D). I tried creating a fresh drawing with the Civil dwt, and it is not included. I tried using IMPORT STYLES to import the Surface Style from a drawing that has it, but it is not loaded. Attached is a screenshot of all the Surface Styles I have. Any thoughts or suggestions?

First create a TinSurface Style to show elevations, you can edit this new Style under "Display Type" to see it 2D or 3D (triangle)

No he is correct - in 2023 from a metric template there is no 3d elevation banding.

Can anyone advise how to rectify this? It's bigger than I thought & also is not in the Imperial Template. I am going to try downloading templates but reverse engineering the path to templates (by creating a new file from a template & navigating accordingly). I should be looking for C:\Program Files\Autodesk\C3D 2023\enu\ however interestingly them folders do not exist; how on earth how i do not know as this is not from an article, this is from my own machine. Show hidden files is on. Closest I can find is below:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2023\C3D

Can anyone advise how to get 3D Elevation Banding & more importantly ensure that all features are available to me as I use the product.

There is no 3D elevation banding, only 2D.

What are you trying to do with your surface analysis?

Change the Display Type under Surface Style / Analysis / Elevations.

Hi guys! interesting discussion. Although there is no pre-set style for Elevation banding 3D, you can set it up. Copy your 2D style , and name it Elevation Banding 3D:

Now go to the Analysis tab, and change the following:

As you can see, there are many options here. The one I have used so far is 3D Faces to get a 3D representation of the Elevation banding style we commonly get in plan view.

Go to the Display tab and change the "view direction" to Model. Then turn on "Elevations" If you just want to see the elevations analysis, make sure to turn off the triangles.

Now you have the style. Go to your surface, create the elevation analysis, assign the style and see the result. See an example:

I hope this helps. Best regards,

@ahillR53N6 , your question is about the surface style are missing that because it not have before,  mostly people would like to see surface in Elevation bending in 2D that I think enough to understand easy that why it not have this style in exist. Anyway, if you would like to have this style, then you need to following the way as @ecfernandez mention here.
