edited dimensions not keeping changes

using civil 3d 2022. Have a dimension style that in "text movement" it is set to "Move text, add Leader". I have a couple of instances were i don't want a leader. So i pick that dimension and change the setting to "Move text, no leader" . i save and close the drawing, when i open the dimension style is back to ""Move text, add Leader". is there a setvar that is similar to visretain that i need to adjust? Any help is appreciated

So instead of change it in the properties, go to the dim styles and do one of 2 things

  1. create a copy of the existing style and make it so that there is a no leader selection (or whatever changes)
  2. create a dim style override for that style that does exactly what you want.

Thanks for the reply.

I would think i should not have to make a new style for 3 items in the drawings. Will try the override.
