I have created some Assemblies.

Now I am trying to save the drawing. I get an error message as attached.

How to save this drawing?

Hi,

first run command _SAVEAS, give it a new name and make sure the file-format is set to DWG-2013.

If that fails run command _WBLOCK with option "entire drawing" and create a new DWG from your existing one (dwg format 2013!). ==> by default that will work.

Copy your existing BAK file from the current open drawing to a save position

Copy your existing DWG file from the current open drawing to a save position

Now exit Civil 3D ==> it will ask you to save the file, answer with yes, that will work in most cases. If not you do have the wblocked drawing or the one from the previous save which you copied to a save location.

Good luck, - alfred -

Hi sbd123,

Use audit command to fix the errors if any in the drawing. and save recover the drawing. It may help you.

Today it accepted the save command without any problem.

Fail to understand what was happening last time.

Thanks all the same.

Make sure that your file server has sufficient space to save the drawing. This message often appears when you try to save a drawing that is too big and the folder/server is running low. If this is an occasional event and the drawing saves in another session, someone was nice and cleaned up unnecessary clutter (old .bak ffiles, plot log files, etc.)
