Drawing Freezes On Open, Escape Required

This morning my drawing all of a sudden started giving me the Windows Blue Ring every time I open the drawing. I've replicated this problem on two other workstations here.

Things I have tried already to troubleshoot this:

Validate Data Shortcuts

Audit

Recover

Purge

-purge regapps

Rebuild Data Shortcuts folder from scratch

Save As Data Shortcuts folder to a new folder

Save As drawing as a 2010 / 2013 DWG

None of these solutions has solved the problem unfortunately.

Once I load, if I wait until the Blue Ring appears and then I hit escape, I can draft normally.

However, this is a particular problem because are using Sheet Set Manager and due to this error I cannot print any of the sheets associated with this drawing using Sheet Set Manager.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded your file and opened it using 2018.3 vrs. I too got the blue wheel. After waiting several minutes I hit the escape key. It then allowed me access to the drawing.

I then did a purge of all items, then did an audit. Saved the file and reopened it. It then asked what I wanted to do

with the reference files. I then indicated it should "ignor the reference files" and the file open right up, and allowed me access to the file.

I have attached the file I saved. You can see if its opening for you. Can not say for sure what the problem is. If it opens like it should then I would say the software is not purging or doing a complete audit. If you still have problems maybe someone else can chime in on this.

Well, whatever you did, I can now open the drawing just fine.
