Downloaded installed and tried the dwgcompare app with civil 3d 2018 but got internal errors, uninstalled and 2018 returned to normal as far as I could tell in a few minutes. Downloaded and installed civil 3d 2019 because it has a built in dwgcompare command, but it is failing to find one of its files and fails. Currently uninstalled 2019 and am reinstalling. Has anyone had similar experiences and what might be a fix or even a greater understanding of the problem?
Problem resolved, after re-installing 2019, I launched it, closed it and installed the update. After restarting the computer and relaunching Civil 3D, I was able to successfully use the drawing compare tool.
