So I have searched and found this error message, but it was related to plotting. My issue appears when I enter a viewport either by double clicking or typing 'MS'. Anyone else have this problem before? I attached 2 screen shots, 1 before error and 1 with error showing.

I am running Civil3d 2014, SP2.

Thanks,

G

I've seen it occasionally - haven't narrowed it down to what causes it. Usually a close and reopen of entire session will resolve the issue. Does it persist after close/reopen?

It still occurs after close/open. I noticed that when I go into the larger viewport (which was created from a sheet set creation) and then go into the smaller viewport there are no errors. If I go into the bad viewport first it errors.

Odd. Maybe try adding a new viewport on top, use VPSYNC command to set the two view ports to same settings, then delete the bad one.

I'd also purge and audit the drawing

Just thought I'd take a look to see if the old problem has any solution...

This error has occurred in our offices across different releases going back several years (look at the evidence on this NG).

Thankfully it is pretty intermittent and only seems to happen to a small pctg of machines/users here.

The only "fix" I have ever found is to reconfigure AutoCAD for the affected user by:

- Delete "C3D 2014" folder (or equivalent) under "...AppData\Roaming"

- Delete "C3D 2014" folder (or equivalent) under "...AppData\Local"

- Delete "ACAD-D000:409" registry key (or equivalent) under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R##.#

This has the side-effect of completely resetting the users profile related settings but for some users, it is worth it.

Also, this has happened mostly after/during plotting; Sometimes while picking Window points for Plot area or just after a plot is seemingly completed.
