Distortions when importing TIF file

I am using the most recent version of Civil3D and I am trying to import a large Geo-referenced .TIF file. This .TIF file appears normal when viewed on any image viewer such as Paint, Microsoft Image Viewer, and Windows Photos. When imported into Civil3D the image has severe distortions as shown below. It looks like Civil3D has sliced the image into 20 horizontal strips and individually flipped them top-to-bottom.

This .TIF file is from a drone survey.

I have imported from "Planning & Analysis" mode as well as "Civil3D" mode. I have used "MAPIINSERT", Insert Reference File, and the Geolocation tab to insert the .TIF file. I have had the same issue every time.

I converted the .TIF file to a .jpg and imported it. The image imported correctly with no distortion, but a complete loss of all Geolocation data. Converting it to a different file type will cause me to loss the Geolocation data and is not an acceptable solution.

Why is Civil3D unable to correctly render this .TIF image? How can I fix this distortion.

Hi @ccutts73BJK

Instead of MAPIINSERT, use a Data Connection.

MAPWSPACE=>>On

MAPCONNECT
