DISAPPEARING VIEWPORT TEXT

I am running Civil3D 2023 and fully updated. Why is it in the 2023 version does the model space text disappears during panning and zooming in the paper space viewport. I have to regen every time to get the text back and it is very time consuming.

AECCLABELOPTIMIZE = 0. (Disables the new feature)

This is a new feature. It works like LevelOfDetail, but for labels.

I had a similar issue in which the grading optimization was the culprit.  We had to uninstall the grading optimization tool and the text then appeared fine.  Still unsure as to why this is the culprit.

Can you post the drawing so I can test on my end.  Let's see if it happens for me too.  If it does then we can definitely point it to 2023.  If it doesn't then we may need to research possible issues on your system or network.  Also, what is the text font with which it happens?

I'm sorry I can not post any drawing.

It seems to be and in the annotate. I am unable to flip or reverse any of my line bearings and distances while in a viewport but it works in model space. I have tried the AECCLABELOPTIMIZE to on and off and the AECCLABELOPTFLAGE at 0 and 1 and no change. I did a clean uninstall and reinstalled and updated Civil3d. Cad is installed in a stand along computer drawings are stored elsewhere.

Ok, no problem.  I understand.

So is this happening for everyone in the office or just you?  If not everyone, then can you open the drawing in question on another "working" computer and test.

Is this happening in all drawings or just one specific?

What is the build of the software?  To find this, please type in ABOUT at the command line and hit ENTER.  Then post the a screen capture of the box that appears.

Have you tried setting the 'AECCVIEWPORTOPT' command to OFF? I believe this setting has something to do with a new feature mentioned by @tcorey in a previous post but is exclusive to label visibility in viewports.

Best of luck.

Another thing Autodesk created that literally no one asked for. Thank you for the fix

@gdiceA5BVP   I have to disagree with you. Autodesk's largest customers wanted this functionality.

Despite the fact that this feature often causes alarm, when you don't know about it yet, it is useful in reducing how long it takes for Civil 3D labels to be regenerated.

Let's also remember that Autodesk doesn't make a change for the sake of change.  All changes come from input from their beta testers (of which anyone can take part) and their wish lists (AKA the AutoCAD AUGI wish list as well as the Civil 3D Ideas forum).
