As others have suggested, make it like the Dynamo Forum. It doesn't need numbered pages at the bottom of the site like this place does, as you scroll down more pages are served up as needed, not the arcane method that has been used here forever.
The current or new layout is horrible. Get rid of the stuff on the right hand side of the page. That space is only used at the top part of page and after that it's just wasted space. Put it somewhere else.
Make the reply to post box functional. It keeps dropping below the visibility threshold making a reply impossible

Hi Joe, This is useful to know, thank you! Could you give some more details on how you find the mobile experience difficult or is it only the like button? ☺️
Thanks!

You also need to put back the button that takes you back to the 'main page" of whatever topic your in, such as Civil 3D Customization, when you are finished reading/replying to threads. You have a "Back To Top" button, you also need the back to main page. I don't want to user my browser back button and I don't want to go to the top of the page to click on this thing:

also put it more than one place so I don't have to scroll to find it

I have the valent option of exploring both options and the new one sucks!!! ATM

Work PC on Win11 gets the crap and my trusty 10 uses the previous site version which was easier to use.

Sometimes if it's not broken don't fix it.

Progress is inevitable.

Personally I don't like it.the reasons are above from other's comments.

When an organisation wants to have smooth transition to new site, usually adds in the home screen the button "switch to our new beta site (or beta UX or UE or UI), and collects the feedbacks.

@Joe-Bouza not only iOS, also in android is hard to use.

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on the new forum design! As @amanda.k mentioned this is an A/B test to help us improve the navigation and overall experience for the community. Your feedback is incredibly valuable in shaping the future of this platform.

Please keep the comments coming—we’re reading every single one of them 👀. I’ll be pinning this post to ensure your suggestions can be easily shared with our product team. The goal is to address long-standing issues and create a better experience for everyone, so don’t hold back!

Feel free to share specific examples, like features you miss, things you’d like to see improved, or anything else on your mind. Let’s work together to make this the best it can be!

Thank you again for your input—we appreciate it! 😊

Advantages of new format.

Yes, layout has changed. AutoCAD created two Groups, a specific group was designated A and a second specific group B. It was split into two groups so the test could be implemented in two phases, one after the other. It was name A/B Test. Currently, it's no longer a test, it's live.

The advantages, whatever they may be, seem to benefit AutoCAD and the Forum Developers, not the end users. From feedback from both Group A and B, there appears to be no benefit at all. Lots of disappointment, to put it mildly.

Conclusion, the new layout, for various reasons that are too many to mention here, effectively benefits AutoCAD at the expense of end users.

While you're at it, how bout getting a proper search tool for this and all forums. The kind that has search words in a data base that are actual autocad related terms. Make it so that it behaves like youtube's search bar, but make it so that it recognizes relevant autocad terminology. I can't tell you how many times I've searched for something by typing a key word that should be recognized as an autocad related word/term, but the suggestion prompt that asks "did you mean ______?"  has no bearing or connection to autocad terminology.

Also, fix the reply to message tool/interface. After I've typed five of six lines of text, the text is no longer visible on say the seventh or eighth line, it goes below the visible parts of the text box that I am typing my reply to. So in essence I have to type with out seeing the text appear on the screen.

Window size.

The area to used to 'enter response' is small....but just like the old version, you can still click-and-drag the triangular symbol in the corner to increase visibility within the window. And the scroll bar.....it still exists for scrolling downward.

Thanks for pointing that out. The thing is, I've been typing over the last half dozen years in all manner of sites, surveys and reply boxes in many other web places and never have I ever had to have to adjust a scroll bar. (This is web 1.0 technology) Intelligent user interfaces know that when you are typing and need to go to an additional line it mysteriously creates one for you, pushes the already typed text at the top of the reply to scroll out of sight (like magic) and you just keep typing your text like nothing ever happened. (something like the Mtext editor).

Adesk just needs to get into the modern era of user interfaces and present web forums that are user centric, easy to navigate and offer a pleasing experience to the end user.

Yeah, that's an issue as well. I have no problem with clicking on "Civil3d Forum" but it brings me back to "Trending", which I definitely don't like.

@lim.wendy @amanda.k I'm finding that the forum always opens at "Trending" rather than "All" and after going back from a topic I am back at the "Trending" page.

Please don't turn the forum into a Facebook/Instagram "who gets the most likes"  as it supposed to be for professional queries and discussion.,...and there is too much blank space.

As someone said in another post why do Autodesk continue to mess around with things that aren't broken - I guess I'm just the wrong age group that this kind of "social media/influencer" stuff is meant to appeal to...😉

Hi @neilyj666@cwr001  - specifically on the "Trending" / "All" space comments, I've passed that along to the team.

All other comments, if I "liked" them, they're recorded - I'm also passing along sentiment, so don't feel like that is a waste.

Appreciate all the thoughtful, detailed responses here. Thank you.

Other than that its mostly confusing to default with trending. it should be All. I found the all button but find it inconvenient to have to press that before anything.

I was a big part of the trending thread on top "advance Volume" and that closing in on a month old and accepted as solution.  Personally, I think trending should be the second choice.

Thanks.

hope that came off gentle. I mean no ill will to the administers

@Joe-Bouza Personally I don't see any use for "Trending" at all. There has been a Trending section on the right of the page in the previous version and I can't even say I look at it once a month.

@amanda.k @lim.wendy As mentioned. This isn't supposed to a Social site. This is supposed to be a professional peer to peer forum where we get help and get to help others.
