Deleting the layout 1 tab

So done the following methods to attempt to delete the default layout1 tab in my drawing

-right clicking the tab and deleting

-using the layout command and specifying the tab

but whenever I do this the layout tab is still present at the bottom of the screen. How do I fix this?

I think you need at least one paperspace tab in every drawing.  Why do you want to remove it?  Does it bother you that much?

Deleting is not possible. But you can hide the layout and model tab. See the image.

No, I'm just exporting a ton of base files to be input into GIS and the fewer items present the more seamless the process is.
