I have four data referenced surfaces that got deleted in the original source file. They now show up as broken references in the secondary file where data referenced. Repairing broken references in this case doesn't work as the surfaces no longer exist. There doesn't seem to be any way to select/delete them, either. Open to suggestions on how to get rid of them in the secondary file.

You can use the Quick Select in the Properties dialog to select all TIN Surfaces, then use SHIFT+Window to deselect all "good" surfaces from your drawing then hit DELETE.
